All the way from Gustine, California in the fertile Central Valley, Mr. Martin in his 14th year of teaching but now in his 9th year as an advisor for Hollister FFA. His family consists of his wife, Erin, and daughter, Samantha, and son, Joseph. Mr. Martin showed and raised large animals including sheep, hogs and cattle. Here at Hollister High School, he teaches in the Ag Mechanics department including Ag Fab. Being an advisor, he coaches the Welding CDE team as well as speech competitions and upcoming conferences.

Chelsi Soares

Mrs. Soares hails from Cow Town, USA (or better known as Tulare, CA), where she was involved in the local 4-H and FFA programs. Being raised on a dairy sparked her love of agriculture and dairy cattle, where she showed holstein heifers for seven years. After high school, Mrs. Soares attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and graduated with both her Bachelor’s Degree (in Agriculture Sciences) and Master’s Degree (in Agriculture Education). Mrs. Soares is in her eighth year of teaching and enjoys coaching the job interview team and working with flowers. She enjoys doing hands-on activities with students in the classroom and traveling for FFA events.

Mrs. Grace Erickson is a native of Hollister and is excited to once again be a Haybaler. She earned her degrees from UC Davis and teaches Ag Communications & Leadership, Ag Government & Economics, Animal Science and Veterinary Science. She is also excited to coach the Livestock Judging Team.
